Data Geek
I love to get my hands dirty with website data, and anything that helps explain human behaviour with patterns and numbers. Pulling data from Analytics packages and applying it in ways that can help organisations understand their customers is one of my favourite parts of my work.
Articulate
Unlike some consultants who fall at the final fence when it comes to report generation, I produce engaging and conversational report content that’s toned to match the reading environment.
Agnostic
While I have workflows and procedures for use at various stages in the consulting process, I never follow any set processes governing what I’ll recommend. Search and Social strategies should follow an organisation’s needs, and not the other way around.
Open Book
The Search Agency model is to keep a certain amount of what they do secret, so companies will continue to subscribe to their services. A Consultant (that’s me) lets you in on everything that’s right for your business.
Technical Bridge
I’m enough of a tecchie to be able to converse with tecchies, but I’m not so far down the code vortex that I baffle regular people by talking at them in fluent Perl.
Currency
I live and breathe search and social. That means I’m always down with what’s new as far as platforms, technologies, practices and tactics are concerned. You won’t get outdated advice or stuff from a “best practice” SEO manual published way back in 2009.
Human
I love to connect with people, particularly when there’s affinity (hint: there’s always affinity.) I like bad jokes, good films and great music. I function well by myself, but work at my best when I can bounce ideas from smart, capable people passionate about what they do.
